Our 2018 Extra Virgin Bel Posto Olive Oil is our estate olive oil! It comes from southern Tuscany in the Cortona area from five "oliveti" (olive groves) located in the Tecognano, Sodo, Metelliano and Ossaia hillsides. The olives have been harvested gently and pressed at a small local frantoio (olive mill) that uses the latest technology to preserve the nuances of the olives. Bel Posto extra virgin olive oil is allowed to settle in stainless steel tanks and then bottled in late winter, without filtration and has a chartreuse color, intense fruity flavor and a peppery long finish. Over time it is normal for this olive oil to have some sediment at the bottom of the bottle. This just assures you that it has not been filtered after pressing to preserve the fresh taste and health benefits.
